This role is what every Childcare Manager dreams of! This Service Manager role at Hornsby South OSHClub is to oversee a large OSHC service, lead a dedicated team, engage with the school community, and build key relationships with the school, families, and children with the support of your Regional Director.

A large service with an existing team of Coordinators, Assistant Coordinators, and Educators, this service is designed for excellence. Licensed for over 100 children per day, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and grow a high-quality OSHC program. OSHClub Hornsby South, a large-capacity service offering 150 places, designed to provide an enriching and enjoyable environment for children. Our facility includes a dedicated homeroom, shared spaces in the hall, and extensive outdoor areas featuring a basketball court and an oval, ensuring a variety of engaging activities.

In addition to paid admin hours every week, every term you will have opportunities for professional development and staff meetings. As a part of a national company, we have centralised teams to manage administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on providing exceptional experiences for children and leading your team. 

About the role: 

Leading a team of Coordinators and Educators, you will manage a service in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state-specific office, regular visits and mentorship from an experienced Regional Leader. The role is fulltime (38 hours per week), structured in block shifts to support work-life balance, with approximately 5.5 hours per week in direct ratio hours, along with responsibilities as an Educational Leader.

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging, child-centered program.
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service.
  • Ensure quality and compliance in service delivery in line with the NQF.
  • Grow attendance to support children and families.

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and JAG, but a few basics you need to have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children in a leadership position or a similar role.
  • Ideally minimum Diploma qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Diploma in Children’s Services), or have completed a minimum of 2 years of full-time study in a relevant field.
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check, or state-required check.
  • Clear and professional communication.
