Description and Requirements

The Role:


As the State-Based Quality and Compliance Partner, you’ll ensure JAG services meet compliance standards and best practices. Key responsibilities include conducting audits, supporting Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs), and driving adherence to regulatory requirements, including NQS and Child Protection laws.


You’ll lead safeguarding initiatives, manage child protection incidents, and support policy development and staff training. Acting as the main contact for regulatory authorities, you’ll engage with service teams and the community to address compliance and quality concerns effectively.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all services across the state operate in compliance with current legislative standards, regulations, and JAG policies.
  • Collaborate with service leaders, educators, and external stakeholders to elevate service quality, emphasizing best practices, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Support teams in assessment, compliance, and enhancing rating outcomes to achieve outstanding results.
  • Develop frameworks to upskill service delivery teams and partner with the training team to create impactful content and resources.
  • Coach, mentor, and uplift team capability across all levels to drive high standards and continuous improvement.


About You:


You are passionate about quality improvement and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to compliance and regulatory standards. Your background in compliance, safety, or a similar area in the education or childcare sector will be critical to your success. You are a proactive communicator, skilled in identifying operational gaps, and excel at guiding teams towards best-practice service delivery.

  • 3-5 years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory roles in the Education and Care sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, NQS, and Child Protection legislation.
  • Proven ability in audits, compliance reviews, and development of Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Valid State based Working with Children Check (WWCC), a driver’s license, and willingness to travel.
