What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Coordinator, your purpose will be to assist with the delivery of the highest possible quality program for the children in our care. You will encourage an inclusive and fun environment where the children are safe, engaged and well supervised. You will be contributing to our program planning and development through daily reflections and child observations.

Sometimes, you may get the opportunity to step up and take on full responsibility for the service in the absence of the Coordinator and the Assistant Coordinator. What an opportunity to develop your skills!


As the successful candidate, you will be guaranteed 27.5 hours per week, as follows:

Monday - Friday: 7:00 am -9:00 am (Before School Care) and 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm (After School Care).  

As a result of this split shift, you will receive a financial allowance on top of your hourly rate. 

The above hours will be workable across school terms, however, the total weekly hours are also guaranteed across School Holiday periods. You can pick up extra hours during the holidays too!

Who are we seeking?

Play is vital to children's well-being and sense of belonging and forms the basis of who they become in the future. Our ideal team member strongly reflects these qualities and, also has:

  • Valid rights to work in Australia.
  • A current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC).
  • A passion to work with school-aged children and participate in fun and engaging ‘learn through play activities.
  • Holds or is working towards a Diploma or Bachelor in: Children's Services, Early Childhood, Education, Allied Heath, Social/ Youth/ Community studies, Behavioural Science or equivalent.  *Refer to ACEQCA website for a full list of approved qualifications.

*Please note: this is a fixed term contract for a year.  There is likely to be an opportunity at the end of this contract period.
