As the Program Coordinator, you will design, manage and lead an established program and a fantastic, supportive team, including a permanent part-time Assistant who will work each morning and afternoon. You will have access to an existing pool of trained and qualified casual staff for any ratio/last-minute shifts, as well as a staffing support team. We value our partnerships with the school and wider community, so your role will allow you to network with the school and foster existing relationships. You will plan healthy eating menus and incorporate fun child driven programs based on both the interests and passions of the children at your program and the strengths and skills of you and your team. 

The successful applicant must be available to work a minimum of 30.5 hours per week across the following times: 

  • Monday - Friday; 7:00 am - 9:00 am
  • Monday - Friday; 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
  • Plus additional admin hours each week
  • The above hours will be workable across school terms, however, the total weekly hours are also guaranteed across School Holiday periods.


The program caters for South Perth Primary students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and is situated in the suburb of South Perth, located approximately 3 kilometres south of Perth CBD. We pride ourselves in providing children with a fun and enjoyable experience. From exciting activities and healthy, nutritious snacks to caring, motivated staff, the program meets all our children’s needs within a safe, fun and stimulating environment.


Play is vital to children's well-being and sense of belonging and forms the basis of who they become in the future. Our ideal team member strongly reflects these qualities. 

To be successful you will have a current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC), valid rights to work in Australia and experience in leading a small team of staff ideally within the children's services arena.

You will also hold a completed qualification from the below list of ACECQA approved qualifications for educators working with over preschool-age children:

  • Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care
  • Certificate lV in Education Support
  • Diploma of Children's Services (Early Childhood Education and Care)
  • Diploma of School Age Education and Care
  • Degree or diploma in education, recreation, sport science, leisure studies, social and behavioural science or nursing
