A service based in The Basin is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our after school care capacity. This is a permanent full-time position at 38 hours per week, all year round.


This will be comprised of 28.75 hours in-service, with shift times of 6:45AM - 9:00AM (Rise then Shine) and 2:45PM - 6:15PM (Stay and Play) 9.25 hours paid admin 

 

In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $1500 commencement bonus at the completion of first month plus another $1500 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.

 

About the role 

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service. 

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into! 
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents 
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

Based in The Basin, this service has excellent support and investment from the school. You'll have the unique opportunity to create tailored programs for different age groups as the juniors and the seniors each have a dedicated space. Collaboration within the team is encouraged and they love sharing ideas and responsibilities. 

 

Who are we looking for? 

A few basics you need to have: 

  • Availability 5 afternoons/ week
  • Confidence and the ability to manage large groups of children
  • Flexibility and patience 
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children 
  • Australian work  rights 
  • Holds or is working towards a Diploma in an ACECQA approved area (see the ACECQA website for more information)
