A service based in Ross Creek is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 18 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance! 

 

Hours will be Monday – Friday, 03:00 – 06:00 PM  (Stay and Play Program) plus 3 additional admin hours. Holiday program shifts available at nearby campuses + potential for morning shifts. 


There may be some flexibility with these hours, so if they don't quite suit you please reach out to discuss. 

 

About the role 

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service. 

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into! 
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents 
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration 
  • Help out at other services when necessary

About the service 

Based in Ross Creek, this service has an excellent relationship with the school and their families, and are often involved in barbecues, assemblies and events. You'll have plenty of freedom to use your own creativity to develop activities and clubs for the students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to access this. 


Who are we looking for? 

A few basics you need to have: 

  • Openness and eagerness to learn about behaviour management
  • Confidence in directing other staff members and taking the lead
  • Ability to work solo when needed
  • A background in early learning/ working with children preferred but not essential
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children 
  • Australian work  rights 
  • Holds or is working towards a Diploma in an ACECQA approved area (see the ACECQA website for more information)
