Description and Requirements

We are looking looking for a passionate and dedicated Coordinator to provide engaging services for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position, assisting in leading a team of Educators at a medium sized service located in Donvale Christian College.

 

The hours are Monday – Friday, 02:30 – 06:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) plus additional admin hours, with flexibility to pick up the mornings if you wish to. You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too! 

 

In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $1000 commencement bonus at the end of first month plus another $1000 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.

 


About the role

 

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered programs
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.

About the school

 

Donvale Christian College OSHClub is an existing medium sized service, with an average attendance of 5 – 10 children for Rise then Shine Program and 45 – 50 children for Stay and Play Program. You'll be working alongside a great and incredible team of existing Educators at this service. We have an office space used as a quiet reading area and a dramatic play space as well. We also have a small kitchen to use at this service and an outdoor space with basketball court and big open area for our OSHClub children to use.

 


Who are we looking for?

 

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

  • Strong and clear communication.
  • Team player with a desire to become a service leader.
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children.
  • Australian work rights
  • Holds or is currently studying an ACECQA approved course at a Diploma level or higher, such as those based in education, health or the community (visit the ACECQA website for more information)
