A service based in Caroling Springs is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 31.75 hours per week during term time (40 weeks/ year) - the perfect balance! Plus there is the option to pick up holiday program shifts with us. 

 

Hours will be Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 09:00 AM  (Rise then Shine program) and 2:45 - 6:30PM (Stay and Play Program) plus 3 additional admin hours. There may be some flexibility if one or two of these shifts don't work for you. 

 

In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $500 commencement bonus at the completion of first month plus another $500 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.

 

About the role 

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service. 

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into! 
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents 
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the service 

Based in Caroling Springs this service has an excellent relationship with the school and their families. They operate out of the school hall, with roughly 20 students in the morning and 30 - 45 in the afternoons, as well as room to grow this even further! You'd we working alongside a permanent Educator who is at all sessions, as well as occasional casual staff. 

 

Who are we looking for? 

A few basics you need to have: 

  • Experience leading and managing teams
  • An understanding of how to support children with additional needs
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children 
  • Australian work  rights 
  • Holds or is working towards a Diploma level or higher qualification in an ACECQA approved area (see the ACECQA website for more information)
