Description and Requirements

Whether you're experienced in the Education or childcare sector, have done some babysitting, this is the first time you're thinking about working with children, or anything in between, THIS is the role for you!

 

Our Outside School Hours Care service, Carlton, HHN, is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children. This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 27.50 hours per week (guaranteed minimum) to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators.

 

You will work across split shifts to support the service’s operating ours of Monday – Friday, 07:00am – 09:00am (Rise then Shine Program) and 03:00pm – 06:00pm (Stay and Play Program). You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!

 

About the role  

 

Co-managing a team of Educators, you’ll have the perfect balance of support and leadership opportunities. You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years, with the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service:

 

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.
