Description and Requirements

Our Outside School Hours Care service in Beaconsfield is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator. This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 26.5 hours per week (guaranteed minimum) to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators.


About the role 

Co-leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.


  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into! 
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

This role would provide you with plenty of professional development and learning opportunities, with the opportunity to step into higher leadership roles in the future. 


Who are we looking for? 

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have: 

  • Warmth, strong communication skills and rapport building are key
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage paperwork
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
  • Australian work  rights 
  • Holds or is working towards a Diploma in an ACECQA approved area (see the ACECQA website for more information)
